Security

Keep your information safe with Deskware Security. Protecting our customers’ data is a top priority. Deskware prides itself on providing a range of security features tailored to meet your needs. Through a security-first approach of our application, we have combined enterprise security, systems, data center facilities, and controls to safeguard our customers’ data.

Product & Application Security

Two-Factor Authentication

Implement our Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) application-wide or per user to ensure your information isn’t falling into the wrong hands. If you’re unfamiliar with 2FA, it’s a secure account login method that requires two forms of authorization to access
an account.

SAML Single Sign-On (SSO).

In line with secure logins, Deskware also has SAML Single Sign-On (SSO). SSO integrates with your directory to keep accounts secure and to streamline the login process.

Help Desk Verification

Worried about social engineering? To verify that your users are who they say they are, Deskware also offers Help Desk Verification. Users can be prompted to submit a code sent to them via SMS message. Once the code matches up, you’ll know the person interacting with you on Deskware is legitimate.

IP restrictions

Lastly, Deskware can customize IP restrictions for users. This feature allows you to monitor what devices people are using when they are working within the Deskware platform. If your IP restrictions are on, someone from an unknown IP address can’t access Deskware.

Network Security

All Deskware systems are regularly scanned for vulnerabilities. We conduct penetration testing of the Deskware systems each year. In addition to this, we have Intrusion Detection systems monitor for malicious activity and alert our security team.

In the case of a system alert, we have a documented Incident Response Plan that requires the following action from our team:

  • Preparation
  • Detection & Analysis
  • Containment
  • Eradication & Recovery
  • Post-Event Activity

Data Center

The Deskware Network Operations Center (NOC) monitors all systems 24/7/365 and abides by leading compliance regulations. You can rest at ease knowing your data is safe with our Tier 3 data center standards, all located in the United States. Every Deskware data center facility includes redundant power sources and cooling, generator backup, and redundant network links.

Security Compliance

Cloud storage and compliance should go hand-in-hand! Deskware data centers are currently Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 Type 2 certified. SOC 2 compliance is necessary for secure and proper data storage via the cloud.
