How to Create Agents

An agent in Deskware is someone who will be responsible for working on and completing tickets. In your organization this might include people other than IT staff, such as accounting or salespeople. 

To create an agent:

  1. Click on the Agents button in the left navigation 
  2. Click Add New
  3. Complete the required field information on screen.  First Name, Last Name, Password, Email and Timezone and Role are required fields.
  4. Optionally, enter information for other fields.
  5. Click Save

NOTE: Select Service Desk Role for the Role field unless the agent will be an administrator.  Note that you are not prompted to create a password. The registration email sent to the agent will allow them to set it themselves.
